Clearer Focus

Our martial arts training for kids starts with them doing one thing at a time. Whether its a stance or a kick, we get them to focus on what they are doing. It might only be for 30 seconds to start off with, but as they get better, they start focusing for longer. This is great for younger kids and kids with ADD, as they will soon apply these skills to homework, family conversations, and anything else they decide to put their minds to.

Determination to Succeed

Personal goal setting and achievement is a keystone to martial arts training. Whether it is earning the first grading, or perfecting a series of moves, a sense of fulfilment is earned as challenges are completed. This then leads to more ambitious goal setting and further challenges. As the kids grow older, they take these principles and discipline with them, helping them to have fulfilling lives as a positive member of society.

Fantastic school with a great atmosphere for all ages! The staff is extremely talented and dedicated to martial arts. Wether you have a child that wants to learn martial arts or you would like to learn yourself, this is the best school I have found. Master Alley, the chief instructor, is truly a Karate expert and one of the most talented and skilled instructors I have ever met!

Improved Attention

If your kid has a short attention span, or seems to drift off mid-conversation, then you might find this improving after a few lessons with Super Kicks Karate in Ashburn, VA. This is because we believe that eye contact is all important when it comes to talking both inside and outside the classroom. It’s amazing how after only a short while, kids will start to do this naturally even at home.

Master Alley and his staff far exceed the expectations of exemplary role models! Their dedication to getting to know every child and family on a personal level leaves you feeling as if you’ve joined a family, not just a martial arts program. They focus on community service and demonstrating respect to all, values that are important to instill in today’s youngsters!

Less Answering Back

When we train kids in the martial arts at Super Kicks Karate, one of the fundamental rules, is that when we ask someone to do something, they get on and do it. We don’t need to yell at them if they don’t – They do it because they see the other kids doing it, and they want to make friends. It won’t be long until your kids start doing this at home as well, so if you think your kids have a hard time following directions, then sign them up for a few classes. You will be amazed at the difference.

Kids that come from martial arts backgrounds stand their ground against a bully. This isn’t just because of the physical skills they have learned, but the mental skills that have evolved as well. 9 times out of 10, a bully will back down when someone has the confidence to look them straight in the eye. And that 1 time when they don’t? Your kid will have the tools to either defend themselves, or where necessary get away and inform an authority figure. Most confrontations can be diffused with words, but whatever the situation, your child will be prepared.

Weight Loss

Its far too easy these days for kids to take virtually no exercise, and as a result, some are experiencing unneeded weight problems at far too young an age. Lessons at Super Kicks Karate in Ashburn, VA will help put that right. Your kids will be active, learning and gaining in fitness and strength at a pace suitable to them. My 4 year old son has attended Super Kicks since he was 3. The staff is amazing. He is a typical boy with a lot of energy to burn and is incredibly strong and tall for his age. I wanted to find a program where he could learn more body control and how to listen and follow directions from more people than his teachers and parents. The super kicks instructors are absolutely the best at connecting with each student and expecting the very best each time they are in class. They encourage positive behavior at home and in their community. I’ve heard Master Alley ask each student something they did well that week or something they learned outside of karate. All students are encouraged to keep up with chore charts to earn stars for their uniforms and monthly lessons are taught about their community and life. I can’t express how wonderful Super Kicks, Master Alley, and his staff have been for our family! If you are thinking about trying it out, please make the call, because you won’t regret it.
