Our Instructors Love to Inspire Our Students

In Confidence, Personal Stories by Don Alley

At Super Kicks Karate, our instructors don’t just teach good martial arts.  They love to inspire our students.  Every day is an opportunity to reach out and help someone feel good about themselves.  To build self confidence and to show them they can do anything they put their mind to.  Check out some of our success stories!  Every week they like to reach out via our blog and share something meaningful to them.  They hope their stories can help inspire you in some way…

Thankfulness is sometimes an overlooked aspect in a job.  People always look to better themselves and achieve the next level within their jobs, and rightfully so.  However, being thankful for what we have is also equally important!  I’m thankful for having the ability to teach such amazing students practical self defense and working in an environment where I can not only help people grow but also grow as an instructor myself!  As always, I strive to better myself but I make sure to remember to be thankful for what I have accomplished.

Instructors Love What They Do

Miss Gelles

Most of the time new students are nervous when they come in and there are many students who come in that are building their confidence through class. However, we had a student who came in for his very first class and his enthusiasm and confidence were through the roof! He was so excited to simply be in a martial arts academy. It was easy to see how fantastic things can be when you have confidence. He was ready to listen to direction and work on the things he needs to become a leader. That’s why confidence in yourself is so key! This confident child could learn how to be disciplined and focused quickly because he wasn’t afraid to put himself out there and try what we asked. That’s why we work so hard to continue building our students’ confidence. That enthusiasm and confidence will give him the push he needs when things get tough!

This last week we were talking about Goals and it reminded me that you have to set achievable goals to accomplish. Goals drive us and if we don’t set them then we could be wandering through life without a purpose. I want to encourage everyone to set attainable goals that they can achieve. If you are having trouble, like everyone does sometimes, ask a friend, teacher, parent, or someone you look up to for help. In the end it’s not always going to be you going it alone…you need help to accomplish everything you set out to do.
