Summer Camp the Martial Arts Way

In Events, Kids Martial Arts Classes, Summer Camp by Don Alley

School is starting to wind down for the year and the weather is warming up which means summer is on the way.

You can already hear the buzz coming from the kids talking about SUMMER and all the fun they are going to have – the beach trips, the pool trips, NO SCHOOL. Its a sense of excitement and freedom in the air.

Even us parents feel the freedom vibe of what summers once meant to us. Until we are snapped back to reality and realize that we still need to work and we still need child care and we still want our kids to enjoy summer. The struggle is real!

Martial Arts Summer Camp is About Fun

We, the parents, want our kids to have a fun summer and enjoy the break from school like we remember from childhood. BUT we also want to make sure the fun is structured and beneficial too. We want our kids to learn important life skills such as sharing, friendship skills, sportsmanship and what to do when they are bullied or they see a classmate being bullied.

We have taken those concerns from parents as well as the desire for fun and excitement from the kiddos and created a summer camp program you’re not going to want to miss out on. We took all the fun things your kids want to do this summer – swimming, water parks, movie theater field trips, arts & crafts, obstacle courses, park games and more – and mixed them with the qualities and benefits that parents are looking for. We work on character development and life skill topics such as friendship skills, sportsmanship, and bullying as well as the training that martial arts provides for our kids.

Why Martial Arts Summer Camp

With all the fun and benefits our camp provides, at our core, we are martial artists. Our camps introduce new campers to our training as well as allow current students to keep learning and progressing through their next belt. We help and encourage our campers to set and work towards goals, and aim to pass on our core principles of honor, dedication, focus, and perseverance.

We’ve got a great 11 weeks of martial arts summer camp lined up for your kids this summer! What do you look for in a summer camp? If you have questions about our camps, we’d love to answer them. We are confident in our program and hope to have your kids join us this summer!
